The post-apocalyptic series Black Summer follows protagonist Rose (Jaime King) as she tries to reunite along with her daughter Anna (Zoe Marlett), all whilst combating hordes of zombies. One improper move may also be deadly, and Rose should live to tell the tale each and every challenge thrown her means if she desires to find her daughter and get her someplace safe.

Season 1 of the Netflix series ended with the two finally reconnecting, however they are not out of the woods simply but. Season 2 choices up a few months after the massacre at the stadium, and the two not only face hordes of flesh-eating zombies, but also seedy groups of survivors.

Where was once the Netflix series 'Black Summer' filmed?

The zombie series is shot fully in Canada, around the town of Calgary, with many pictures being filmed in small suburban towns, according to The Cinemaholic. The Season 1 penultimate episode — which filmed at a real-life football stadium — was once shot at the McMahon Stadium.

Other pivotal shots in Season 1 were filmed in the township of Irricana, in line with the outlet.

Though production used to be halted all over Season 2 of Black Summer, filming locations did not exchange too much. The forged and group still shot the sophomore season in Alberta, Canada. A stark difference from Season 2 of the zombie series is that the characters may even face the brutal elements — i.e., it is no longer "summer" in Canada.

“The stunning thing about Calgary and Alberta, as you understand, is the ever-changing climate,” Jaime King stated in an interview with Calgary Herald. “Several of us at all times wanted to inform a story in the wintry weather and the use of the parts as a personality. We definitely do this in Season 2. What does it mean when you’re freezing chilly, you’re battling the components, you simply want water. You need any more or less meals actually just to continue to exist.”

According to the newsletter, manufacturing began in mid-February of 2020 and so they were meant to movie in the following rural spaces: Rocky View County, Bragg Creek, Kananaskis Country, Morley, and High River.
