Billy Butcher's Tragic Demise Looms in Season 4 of 'The Boys' (SPOILERS)

Season 4 of 'The Boys' kicks off with a devastating revelation: Billy Butcher is terminally ill and has only some months left to are living.

The 3rd season of Prime Video's hit satirical superhero series The Boys ups the ante by means of introducing V24, aka Temp V. As the season unfolds, each Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Hughie (Jack Quaid) experiment with the drug and achieve superpowers of their own. Yet, it's Butcher who falls prey to addiction, his well being deteriorating hastily.

By the time the Season Three finale rolls around, everyone's favourite foul-mouthed antihero's situation worsens, leaving him terminally ill from his constant use of Temp V. With that in thoughts, does Butcher die in Season 4 of The Boys? Here's what we know.

So, does Butcher die in Season 4 of 'The Boys'?

For the ones unaware, the first three episodes of The Boys Season 4 are actually to be had to stream on Prime Video! You can be expecting the same old dose of blood and guts, however here is the silver lining: Butcher survives... no less than for the time being.

Ahead of the Season 4 premiere, showrunner Eric Kripke spoke with CNET and touched in short on Butcher's worsening state.

Eventually, viewers are clued into the grim fact: Butcher has only some months, possibly as little as six, left to live. To make issues extra intense, the former British particular forces member even reviews hallucinations, together with an encounter along with his late wife, Becca (Shantel VanSanten), by means of the end of the first episode.

Butcher responds with an informal "I'm alright with it," however Ryan sees via the facade, realizing when Butcher is lying.

So, while Butcher makes it out of the first 3 episodes alive, his destiny beyond that doesn't appear promising for the remainder of Season 4.
