Kelly Severide will have to be coming back to ‘Chicago Fire’ soon.

The news of Severide’s go out first got here when Taylor announced he was taking a “go away of absence to maintain a personal subject” again in January 2023. Apparently, this used to be announced to the general public just a few days after the cast and staff discovered the news. Taylor endured on in a few episodes till Feb. 22, 2023, when his final episode with Chicago Fire aired. At the end of the episode, Severide shows Kidd his telephone, to which she responds, “Wow. What are you going to do?”

We in finding out the following week via a conversation with Van Meter that Severide left to visit a coaching program considered “the most productive arson investigation coaching program on the planet.” Now, in Episode 16, Stella is starting to doubt her relationship with Severide. "He really jumped at the chance [to leave]," Stella continues, nonetheless in shock. "And I don't know why, honestly. I always thought the arson was his side gig. Now suddenly, it's center stage … I just hope I'm not missing something. That there's not something more serious going on. That's all." Perhaps some of her past courting fears are getting into play here. Although the longer Severide is away, the extra Stella would possibly doubt their dating.

Luckily, he is meant to return. Hopefully, this means that as soon as he’s back, their dating will be again on steady ground. But relying on how lengthy he’s gone, they could to find themselves in muddy water when he returns.

When will Taylor Kinney return to ‘Chicago Fire’?

As of now, neither Taylor nor NBC has given us any solutions as to when he’ll return. However, his acknowledgment that he’s taking a “go away of absence” insinuates that he's going to come again. Because he hasn’t revealed why he made up our minds to go away past a “personal matter,” he could be gone for any duration of time, even supposing we hope he’ll be back through the Season Eleven finale.

If not, we totally be expecting Taylor to return by the Season 12 premiere. In the intervening time, on the other hand, Jesse Spencer plans to come back as firefighter Matt Casey in the following couple of episodes. So while one legend is absent, every other is returning in his place. The emotional whiplash of saying goodbye and hello to those characters is virtually too much to bear.

Tune into new episodes of Chicago Fire each Wednesday at Nine p.m. EST on NBC to see when Taylor can be again!
