George Cooper was once once the top football trainer at Medford High School. However, that began to switch in Season 5, Episode 13, "A Lot of Band-Aids and the Cooper Surrender." George realized that several oldsters had began to bitch in regards to the football group's poor results, placing his job in peril.
The season finale published that Medford had approached assistant trainer Wayne Wikins about becoming head coach.
Incensed that the varsity had introduced someone else his job behind his back (and who wouldn't be?), George quit and vacated his place at Medford High.
Season Five ended with him on the lookout for another job, however Season 6's premiere put that thought apart to focus on George having to rescue his son Georgie and Meemaw once they have been detained for trying to smuggle cartons of cigarettes into the United States from Mexico.

'Young Sheldon' Season 6 may give George his job back.
CBS has launched the official synopsis for Young Sheldon Season 6, Episode 6, entitled (*6*) As the title indicates, the Medford High football staff is once once more a focus of the display.
In the episode, which is scheduled to air on Nov. 3, 2022, George is requested to assist with the soccer team. No additional main points are given, however that sentence on my own suggests Medford is not doing smartly under Coach Wilkins both.
If George is in a position to assist Wilkins get the crew on a successful monitor, it is possible that both Wilkins or the college gives him a job to make sure the success continues.
Or since the faculty administrators haven't shown any loyalty to their coaching group of workers, they may even ask George to develop into head trainer again and he'd face the similar quandary he had in Season 5, most effective from the opposite side.
While it's too early to call, Young Sheldon has obviously now not closed the door on George Cooper's love of soccer and his training prospects. However the long run episode unfolds, hopefully it'll give him a chance to get again within the recreation — actually.
Young Sheldon airs on Thursdays at Eight p.m. ET on CBS.
