The Legend of Vox Machina’s second season is finally here, and so are our questions on how Vox Machina’s tale continues. Season 2 of Prime Video’s animated collection follows our ragtag crew of mercenaries as they are attempting to avoid wasting the arena of Exandria from the danger of the Chroma Conclave — a perilous alliance of dragons set on ruling (and destroying) the sector.

One of the ones mercenaries is Vax’ildan, one 1/2 of the half-elven pair of twins, Vax and Vex. Portrayed through Liam O’Brien, Vax and Vex’s courting is central to the first 3 episodes of the new season. But past that, Vax’s relationship with sorcerer service provider Shaun Gilmore additionally seems to have some romantic undertones. So is Vax gay?

Is Vax gay in ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’? According to the creators, he is actually bisexual.
One of the most efficient portions of The Legend of Vox Machina and its foundation story coming from Critical Role is that its creators are all about queer culture. In fact, very few of the characters from the unique Vox Machina marketing campaign are “instantly” according to the creators. So in the case of Vax, he has his own queer identification.
Throughout the primary few episodes of Season 2, Vax makes a number of feedback to the sorcerer service provider, Shaun Gilmore, that had been lovely flirtatious. By the top of the campaign, Vax and Keyleth do get together, however until then, he has relationships with a lady named Cyriel in his teenage years, then with a man named Thorn, and then of route with Gilmore. When he masquerades as Scanlan in Vasselheim, he brazenly states his appeal to both men and women. Liam O’Brien, who created and performs Vax in the sequence, said in a Q&A that Vax is “aggressively bisexual” and a three on the Kinsey scale.

In reality, Vax’s twin, Vex is also bisexual in line with Laura Bailey, who plays her. Laura tweeted, “All these #CriticalRole ships... Vex needs to search out herself a person. Or a lady.” In addition, Sam Riegel, who performs Scanlan, has mentioned a couple of occasions that Scanlan is no longer moderately heterosexual. “I do not know what you name it. But no matter he is, it is not 100% heterosexual,” he tweeted.
