Peabo was once a cute ordinary persona who appeared on 'The Proud Family.' He's returned for the reboot, and is still annoying Oscar Proud at every turn.
Penny Proud (Kyla Pratt) is back and better than ever in the Disney Plus revival series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Most of the original solid returned for the reboot, which follows the same premise of the unique, albeit in a more modern environment. Penny goes throughout the trials and tribulations of rising up, with her family supporting her each and every step of the best way.
In Episode 3 of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, some other familiar face makes his first reboot look. Little Peabo (Cree Summer) isn't a ways from Oscar Proud's (Tommy Davidson) side as Oscar coaches Penny's college basketball workforce. Peabo used to be a recurring character in the original series. He would at all times tell Oscar to not do things that might get Oscar in trouble.
Then Oscar would do the thing, get in hassle, and Peabo would say, "I told you Mr. Proud." Thus, their operating gag was born.
Is Peabo the same in the reboot?
Peabo's position in the reboot is beautiful just like what it was once in the unique collection, but he performs an enormous section in Episode 3 of Louder and Prouder.
After Oscar and Penny get into a combat on the basketball courtroom, Oscar orders everyone at the game to vacate the premises. Peabo remains at the back of and rekindles the operating gag from the original series via telling Oscar, "You shouldn't have done that Mr. Proud!"
Earlier in the episode, Oscar made a raffle with Wizard Kelly (Aries Spears) that if his basketball staff (the Proud Snackers) may just defeat Wizard Kelly's group, Oscar would get to live Wizard Kelly's glamorous lifestyles for one week. Wizard Kelly concurs on one condition: If his team wins, he gets Oscar's perfect worker: Peabo.
Oscar loses the bet. He tries to hide Peabo clear of Wizard Kelly's prying eyes, however fails. As punishment, Wizard Kelly makes Oscar and Peabo work at his movie theater.
Peabo is Oscar Proud's protege.
The Peabo in The Proud Family reboot seems to be more formidable than the original character. He turns out slightly overjoyed when Wizard Kelly tells Oscar he's been on the lookout for a protege like Peabo. (Meanwhile, Oscar was operating Peabo to the bone as a water boy who runs the manufacturing line for Proud Snacks.)
After Oscar attempts to enter Wizard Kelly's movie theater while running there as punishment, his fellow employee, Buff, refuses him entry as a result of Oscar doesn't have a ticket. She kicks him around, and Peabo (proudly dressed in a complicated Wizard Kelly movie theater uniform), gleefully tells Oscar, "You shoulda had a ticket Mr. Proud! I'm gonna have to dock you!"
It'll be a laugh to see which different fan-favorite characters from the original collection return for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. You can catch new episodes each Wednesday on Disney Plus.
