'Succession' Fans Claim Kendall and Roman's Hug "Ruined Their Life" (SPOILERS)

It's been a few days, but we are still reeling from the jaw-dropping sequence finale of HBO's Succession. The final episode of the show, titled "With Open Eyes," sees Roman (Kieran Culkin) have an emotional breakdown and marvel why he could not be CEO instead of his older brother Kendall (Jeremy Strong).

Roman — who were given a bit scuffed up in the previous episode once you have into altercations with protestors — thinks his wounds are not serious enough for the board to suppose he's unfit for the task. When Kendall pulls him in for a hug, the No. 1 boy puts drive on Roman's wounds together with his shoulder, causing the stitches to reopen. OK, why did he do this? Why did Kendall harm Roman and reopen his stitches?

As stated earlier than, Roman points out that he seems to be put together; he implies that he may just stand in entrance of the board as Waystar's new CEO. Kendall feels threatened by his brother, so he makes a despicable energy transfer and puts Roman in his position via hurting him and busting his stitches to make him look rugged and incompetent.

Jeremy Strong said the Roy siblings cannot "express love" with out cruelty.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, award-winning actor Jeremy Strong addressed the demanding embrace between Kendall and Roman. He informed the outlet, "I'm embracing him, and I'm crushing him at the same time. Which you could say is part of the love language that they learned in this family."

"Shiv and Roman can't express love without also expressing a kind of cruelty," Jeremy added. "And we — all of us — betray our own capacity to love."

Jeremy further explained that his cruelty towards Roman is what Logan was once on the lookout for in him all alongside.

"At this point, [Kendall's] just lost everything," he revealed. "And he's also in a terrible, irrevocable way, lost his moral compass and moral core. ... His ability to lie, to say, and do whatever it takes to achieve what he wants. … We see him become his father."
