One of the largest stars of Wicked Tuna was once nowhere to be observed in the National Geographic show’s tenth season. We’re not talking about any of the fishermen, despite the fact that. What we in reality wanna know is, what happened to the Falcon on Wicked Tuna?

Turns out, Captain Dave Marciano ditched the Falcon and went back to a souped-up Hard Merchandise, the vessel he captained from Season 1 to Season 7 prior to he switched to the Falcon for Seasons 8 and 9.

In the Season 10 premiere, Dave defined the switcheroo, telling viewers that he and his workforce had spruced up the Hard Merchandise, putting in a new cabin, a brand new deck, new gas tanks, and a more tough, 500-horsepower engine.
“Over the wintry weather, Joe and I and Jay made numerous upgrades,” he said, consistent with a Wicked Local recap. “She’s back, she’s badder than ever, she’s sooner than she’s ever been ahead of.”

He did say, however, that he still loves the Falcon. “That’s a super boat,” he noticed. “But it’s no secret that the previous few seasons haven’t been spectacular. I’m not eliminating her, however I wanted to make the Hard Merchandise a quicker, more at ease tuna boat.”
The vessel swap seems to have paid off: On the first day of the scene, Dave and his workforce pulled in a 79-inch, 200-pound bluefin tuna that netted them $2,000.
“The previous few seasons had been tricky for us on the Falcon,” Dave stated in the episode. “I believe the different guys suppose I kinda lost my mojo and I don’t have what it takes anymore. With that being mentioned, I think taking the Hard Merch goes to wreck that unhealthy success streak and get us again in the sport.”

This veteran fisherman lost his first boat, the ‘Angelica Joseph,’ to the sea.
In 2020, Dave Marciano revealed to DailyMail.com that his first vessel sunk to a watery grave just about two decades prior. “On Jan. 13, 2003, I misplaced my first boat, the Angelica Joseph,” he told the site. “It was once chilly that day, freezing chilly, and he or she sank 20 miles out at sea.”

The old picket lobster boat sank after dropping a plank, Dave defined. “The boat sank in 33 mins from when we first began taking on water to when we had to abandon ship. We notified the Coast Guard that we were happening, but fortunately, there was any other fisherman in close proximity who picked us out of the water.”
He went on: “Fishermen all glance out for each and every different. It doesn’t matter if it’s your worst enemy. If you discovered yourself in that situation, you’d drop what you’re doing to help.”
