In May 2024, the famous person was delighted at being known as by her real name at a press conference at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. She used to be there with director Yorgos Lanthimos and her co-stars to promote their movie Kinds of Kindness.

The superstar used to be visibility pleased when a reporter referred to her as “Emily” before asking her a question. After some people have been confused, the actress stated, “My name is Emily, thank you. Very great.”

In an April 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Emily published that she modified her name at the start of her occupation. This was because of every other actress already going through the name Emily Stone.

"It’s just because my name was taken [by another actress in SAG]. Then I freaked out a couple of years ago," she persevered. "For some reason, I was like, ‘I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily.’ ”

In the interview, she revealed that some other folks in her existence name her by way of her delivery name. "When I get to know them, folks that I work with do," she said. In fact, the conversation about her name came up when Emily’s The Curse co-star Nathan Fielder told The Hollywood Reporter that he would refer to her as Emily during their interview.

“Before we continue, I’d like to say something. Her name’s Emily, but she goes by Emma professionally,” he explained.

Nathan continued: “So when there’s people that don’t know her, I end up saying Emma. But I’m going to just say Emily from here on.”

How sweet! And while Emily doesn’t mind being called Emma, she did reveal that she likes being called by her real name. “That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily,” she said.

She added, “Nathan calls me Em, which is easier.”

Emily got the stage name Emma from the Spice Girls.

During a 2018 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Emily printed that it used to be Emma Bunton aka “Baby Spice” from the Spice Girls who impressed her level name.

“So growing up I was super blond, and my real name is Emily, however I sought after to be known as Emma as a result of Baby Spice and guess what, now I'm,” she mentioned with a laugh.
