CBS's new dramedy 'So Help Me Todd' sees a laid-back former non-public investigator remedy crimes along with his uptight legal professional mom. Where is it filmed?

Created via Scott Prendergast, the collection centers at the messy but suave Todd Wright (Skylar Astin) — a former personal detective with creative strategies and a too-relaxed analysis of the law.

In hopes of having him again on his toes, Todd's uptight attorney mother, Margaret (Marcia Gay Harden), hires her son as an in-house investigator. Naturally, the two polar opposites butt heads, all whilst fixing crimes. Believe it or now not, the procedural collection is loosely according to Scott Prendergast's personal life.

What city is 'So Help Me Todd' set in, and where is the display filmed?
As for where So Help Me Todd is set, the quirky events unfold in Portland, Ore. Considering Scott Prendergast — who's recognized for his 2008 film Kabluey — grew up in Portland, it's no surprise he chose the Rose City because the backdrop for Margaret and Todd's bickering.
OK, so it isn't really the display's backdrop, because it was once filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. According to The Cinemaholic, Vancouver's TD Tower at 700 West Georgia Street reportedly acts as Margaret’s legislation company, Crest, Folding & Song.
The outlet further said that, in August 2022, the solid and team were observed shooting scenes in Vancouver’s 3000 Block Main Street in addition to within the Vancouver Art Gallery at 750 Hornby Street.

The filming location was sort of a bummer for the creator, who holds Portland with reference to his middle. “My family’s been in Portland perpetually, and Portland is this kind of huge part of my life,” Scott advised The Oregonian.
“I tried to get the show shot in Portland, however I couldn’t pull it off,” he continued. “The Canadian buck used to be too sexy.” We get it, it's arduous to turn down those govt incentives.

“I really like Portland, and I sought after to give an image to the world of Portland as a a laugh, beautiful, exciting position," Scott Prendergast explained. "I hope So Help Me Todd is successful, in order that we will come to Portland, and shoot at Powell’s, and I can have a Pizzicato Caesar salad.”
