Who are the superfans on 'AGT?' They're the reason the public can't vote on 'America's Got Talent: All-Stars'.
During the current season of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars, 60 of the NBC franchise’s most popular contestants, including winners and finalists from international versions of the show, are combating it out. However, they received’t be competing for viewers’ votes.
Instead, the spin-off’s three celebrity judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum — and 50 "superfans" get to make a decision the winner. So, what’s the deal with this apparently random team of electorate? Here’s what we find out about the slightly new device.

Who are the 'AGT: All-Stars' superfans?
According to Gold Derby, NBC published that a “research staff sourced delegates from all 50 states who were longtime and devoted audience of AGT" to serve as superfans.
Additionally, NBC revealed that "they compiled a gaggle of superfans for each and every display taping this is reflective and as numerous as their national viewing target market."

Interestingly, before the premiere of America's Got Talent: The Champions, 50 superfans were selected through an application process on the AGT website, and each one represents a different U.S. state. But, to have submitted a form, superfans were required to live in or around Los Angeles (where the show is filmed).
So it sounds like most of these participants weren't even from the state they’re repping.

How do the 'AGT: All-Stars' superfans vote?
According to Gold Derby, superfans will be able to cast their votes using "digital keypads" after watching all of the performances. Although the final decision comes down to the superfans, the judges will provide feedback.
NBC's Insider blog shares that each week consists of one act out of 10 advancing to the next week — thanks to the superfans' votes — in hopes of competing in the finals.
Additionally, a total of 10 new acts will perform for the judges every week. On the two-hour finale, superfans will then vote for a final time out of the 11 remaining acts to crown the winner of AGT: All-Stars.

How does the golden buzzer work on 'AGT: All-Stars?'
Similar to AGT: The Champions, five golden buzzers will be up for grabs. However, since AGT: All-Stars only has three judges instead of four, things look slightly different.
NBC's Insider blog shares that each judge, including host, Terry Crews, will each have the opportunity to give an act a golden buzzer, which automatically gives them a shot in the finals. Plus, there will be a group golden buzzer up for grabs.

'AGT: All-Stars' viewers will enjoy the return of acts ranging from comedians to singers.

NBC's Insider blog shares that the monumental season will feature aeralists, comedians, dancers, magicians, singers, and more all hoping to snag the title. Plus, past winners and standout performers including Avery Dixon and Dustin Tavella will dazzle viewers.
Aside from the coveted title, Gold Derby shares that $25,000 will be awarded to the winning act.

"It was terrific and it used to be truly interesting to look other people who've competed on the American display and done actually well, competing with other people who won the show in different nations," judge Simon Cowell informed People. "The dynamic was attention-grabbing ... and what actually was great and funky about the show was that such a lot of other folks decided to come again and compete."
Simon continued, "We had been reunited with so many great other folks, after which met such a lot of nice other folks, and there have been a large number of surprises on the display as neatly. I truly, actually enjoyed it."
Judging by the first episode of AGT: All-Stars, it appears that the world is also enjoying the show as well.
