That artist being Niceboy Ed, after all. The bizarre factor is that, ahead of Taylor had used his (or her, but we will get into that) audio on TikTok, he had by no means posted the rest, like ever (...sure that was a Taylor reference, thank you for selecting up what I was placing down). The track had most effective been posted on YouTube the day prior to Taylor posting her TikTok on Sept. 16, which coincided with an Instagram post through an account with the similar identify.
The simplest different time Niceboy Ed posted used to be to announce any other track, "Heaven." So, who is this Niceboy Ed? Let's investigate!

Niceboy Ed might be Joe Alywn, Taylor's longtime boyfriend.
Joe Alywn in truth collaborated with Taylor prior to beneath the pseudonym William Bowery. Another concept is that it's Joe's friend, Ed.
One consumer on twitter, @joealwyndrunk, explains that Joe has a bunch of buddies who call themselves the "Frosty Crew" and Ed is in that buddy team. He has also frolicked with Taylor prior to and has even been to her apartment in NYC for a New Year's Eve party.
The twitter person explained, "We're always checking their accounts to see if they have any new pics with Joe. That's how we found out about the song yesterday, so I posted it here to help spread the word."
Could Niceboy Ed be Taylor Swift herself?
Now that "Midnights" is out for all to hear, there are multiple songs wherein a voice is warped right into a decrease register ("Midnight Rain" and "Labyrinth"). The idea is that this is actually Niceboy Ed however since Taylor is the one singer accepted to these songs, Niceboy Ed is subsequently Taylor.
While we love the above idea (and it would have surely been a large Easter egg disclose if it was true), upon every other concentrate to the 2 songs that Niceboy Ed has dropped, the decrease voice in Taylor's songs sounds a lot different. But frankly, with Taylor dropping more than one tune videos with Easter egg after Easter egg, we simply can't stay up.
Please Taylor, we will't sleep at night. Just tell us. (But tbh, we kinda live for this, so perhaps do not prevent?)
